Cats love affection. Stroking from their beloved owner is pleasant for them, and for the person himself such a procedure is even useful.
The thing is that this reduces the stress level.
But it is important to remember that there are places on the pet's body that you should not touch. This will be unpleasant for the animal, which may respond with a bite.
But which places exactly should not be touched?
First of all – the belly. This is the most unprotected part. The cat understands that if it is wounded in this part of its body, it can die. Therefore, if a pet allows a person to stroke its belly, this is the highest degree of trust.
You shouldn't touch the pads on the paws either, they are quite sensitive. After all, there are sweat glands between the pads that start actively producing sweat when stressed.
You can't touch a cat's tail. It has a lot of peripheral nerves and capillaries.
You shouldn't touch your pet's nose either. This part of the body is covered with sensitive skin, so touching it will be unpleasant.
It is even worse if the person’s hands smell of perfume or other odors that the cat does not like.
The animal will also not like touching its ears. There are many nerve endings on them.
