Sometimes we may be surprised when a cat begins to eat its food in an unusual way - using its paws.
We find this behavior at least strange.
However, there is an explanation for this.
Sometimes we ourselves choose not the most convenient dishes for our pet, which significantly complicates the process of eating. If the bowl is too narrow, the animal's head cannot easily reach the food.
In this case, using paws seems like the most logical option for the pet.
Experts remind that whiskers are an important sensory organ for cats. If they come into contact with other objects too often during the day, this can cause a kind of fatigue.
In order not to injure the sensitive organ once again, the cat begins to eat with its paws. With this approach, the whiskers will not touch the "feeder".
Sometimes an animal is interested in assessing the quality of food, understanding the texture of the food. To do this, the pet takes out the food with its paw and carefully examines it.
After this tasting, the cat can return to its normal food intake.
