Every child dreams of having a pet. And most often children dream of a dog, since these animals are not only for the house, but also for the street. You can play with them, train them, walk them.

But not every dog will be a partner for endless games and will withstand constant pressure, especially if there are several children in the family. So what breed should you choose so that everyone is happy and enjoys constant games?

Labrador

The Labrador is the number one dog for the family. Labradors are friendly, patient and extremely intelligent.

They are easy to raise and train without the need for a dog trainer, they will happily fool around with children at home and on the lawn, accompany them on walks. The Labrador will tolerate even the smallest ones who can pull their ears or tails.

Many dogs bite the child in such situations, but not the Labrador.

Spitz

Spitz are also loyal to children, love to run and play a lot. But they are very fragile and gentle dogs. If nothing happens to a Labrador, if a small child falls on it or hugs it hard, then the Spitz may feel pain and discomfort.
It is necessary to explain to children in advance what they should not do with the dog, and to supervise games at least until the puppy grows up.

Sheltie

Shelties are an ideal choice for families with many children who love active games. These dogs are not as built as a Labrador, but are still stronger than a Spitz. They are also tireless shepherds who in the past spent their days herding flocks.

Thanks to this breed's past, it is impossible to tire out the Sheltie.
This dog will walk around the park, play, fetch a ball and jump over hurdles for hours without showing any signs of fatigue. It only needs half an hour to lie down and rush off to adventure with renewed vigor.

However, it should be remembered that these are very smart and cunning dogs. The external resemblance to a fox, especially red individuals, should constantly remind the owner of this quality of the breed. If you do not show strictness in education, the Sheltie can manipulate the whole family, including adults.

German shepherd

The German Shepherd can be called a strict dog. It should not be taken into a family with small children. Firstly, it can start to educate them using light bites. Secondly, it will be very vigilant in guarding its family members.

For example, from an uncle who decided to play tag with his nephew in honor of a rare meeting. Or from other children, if your child screams during the game. The dog will consider this a threat. If you have many children, then conflicts are inevitable. And a German Shepherd can stop a fight using a growl and bites.

But a German Shepherd will fit perfectly into a family with teenagers. It will become a good companion, especially if the whole family leads an active lifestyle. For example, enjoys hiking, car trips, skiing.
