7 Things Humans Should Learn From Cats

Cats have lived side by side with people for centuries. These animals are considered capricious, capricious, selfish and deriving personal benefit from everything.

But if you look closely at your pet and observe its behavior in different situations for some time, you can see that people can learn something from their four-legged companion.

What exactly? Experts told us about this.

Self-love

The cat licks itself very thoroughly several times a day, that is, it takes care of the beauty and cleanliness of its fur.

She sleeps when she wants; does not follow the owner's commands if she is not in the mood; calmly changes hobbies, quickly forgetting those that she no longer likes and has become boring.

Maybe a person should do the same: not waste time on things that are boring, rest when there is a need, and not do things that the soul does not want, even at the insistent requests of others?

Perseverance

If a pet wants to eat, it will meow, get in the way of its owner, even lightly bite its legs and stubbornly lead it to an empty bowl. They know what they want to achieve and they achieve it in every possible way.

Why shouldn’t we, cat owners, follow their example and persistently and methodically move towards our goal, without giving up at the first failures?

Defending personal boundaries

Our furry friends are not always ready to accept affection and attention from us: they can push your hand away with their paw, simply go to another place, away from you, if you disturb the cat's peace, and they are also capable of biting in the event of an unexpected "invasion" from your side.

If you too encounter toxic, clingy people who rudely disturb your peace, behave like cats: leave or interrupt unpleasant conversations without any apologies.

Independence and pride

Many people dislike cats precisely because of their independent, partly proud behavior. But why shouldn't a person stop depending on what others say or think, and gain confidence in their own rightness, irresistibility, and self-worth?

A cat knows that it is loved without any "because". And you have the right to be loved and appreciated simply for who you are, and not to try to earn this love by becoming a victim of manipulators and abusers.

Ability to express dissatisfaction

A cat can express its desires and discontent, not caring at all about how its owners will react to it. It can loudly "notify" everyone that it wants to go to the toilet, it can jump on your lap and curl up into a ball, asking for affection and attention, it can shake its paw contemptuously and leave if it does not like the food in the bowl.

Isn't it time for people to openly demonstrate their desires, to talk about what they want and what they can't stand? After all, sometimes it is precisely omissions and silences that become the reason for scandals and separation.

Courage in achieving goals

Cats sometimes show desperate courage in achieving what they want. Jump from the balcony after a bird? Easy. Climb a tall tree to save your fur coat from angry dogs? Also not difficult, if there is such a tree nearby.

But cats hardly think about the consequences of their actions, or they think about them only after the fact. Of course, such reckless courage can end in tragedy, but until you try, you won’t understand.

Perhaps, sometimes people should not weigh all the pros and cons, not hesitate before making decisions, not doubt, but resolutely rush forward. And the bumps and bruises that were taken along the way can be healed later.

Ability to cope with adversity

Cats are not prone to painful experiences of their failures, tragedies and injuries. A cat without a paw can run around the house just as actively, having only three legs; a kitty that failed to catch a mouse will soon set up a new ambush for it; cats that have lost their kittens for some reason recover quite quickly.

Sometimes a person also needs not to feel sorry for himself, not to consider himself worthless and not to give up on his plans and goals, but to pull himself together and start all over again, to learn to live and create anew.
