What does the constant desire to please everyone around you mean?

If for some reason you want to please others, then that's a problem. At least, that's what psychologists think.

When a person feels that others need his care, it is time to think about what he himself needs, and then spend his time and energy.

According to experts, such a desire can cause harm and here's why.

3. The person himself does not know or does not understand what he really feels.

Among other things, such people have a habit of asking for forgiveness for things that are not their fault, that they did not do, and agreeing with things that they cannot agree with in principle.

They have little free time and are deeply affected by arguments and conflicts.

And if in short, then by acting in this way, people try to earn the respect of others by pretending and adapting.

Negative consequences

Firstly, despite his desire to help, a person accumulates resentment, realizing that he is simply being used.

Secondly, he doesn’t get satisfaction from the relationship, and the stress simply exhausts him.

Thirdly, as a result, a person is at risk of disappointment in friends, loved ones, and in life.

What to do

At the very least, you need to learn to “do good” when you and those around you want it.

Don't do anything until you're asked to.

Put yourself first, defend your personal boundaries, and seek professional help if necessary.
