It is believed that by periodically switching attention, that is, being distracted from the main work for a short rest, a person increases his productivity.

But this does not mean that the more often a person is distracted by all sorts of nonsense, the faster he will finish his work.

Scientists from the University of Texas and the University of Oregon have found out how to stop being distracted by trivial things while working.

Concentration is influenced not only by motivation, but also by nervous excitement.

Therefore, focusing on work for long periods of time can sometimes be particularly difficult.

Distractions can include noise outside the window and personal experiences, which equally lead to mistakes and miscalculations.

Scientists tested three methods to improve concentration.

One group was asked to complete easy tasks, while the other was asked to start with difficult tasks.

But in each case, the concentration of attention during the execution of the building gradually decreased.

As a result, it was proposed to complete tasks on time, in a limited order.

Only after this did the participants in the experiment stop being distracted from work by all sorts of nonsense.

They were able to maintain their focus and complete their work on time and on schedule.
