The Week After Easter: What You Can and Can't Do

05.05.2024 21:21

After Easter, Bright Week begins (in church they say – Bright Week).

During these seven days, believers continue to celebrate the resurrection of Christ, thereby marking the victory of Life over Death.

At the same time, it is precisely during this period that certain prohibitions and restrictions have been introduced (albeit tacitly).

In particular, it is forbidden to swear, quarrel, think about bad things, be sad, or be greedy.

But it is recommended to rejoice that the Savior has risen. Just as it is recommended to show kindness and mercy to your neighbors.

It is also strongly recommended to help other people, especially those who need it.

It is not recommended to indulge in excessive food and especially alcohol during Bright Week.

Also, you shouldn’t work too hard (either in the office or at home or in your summer cottage).

Remember that everything is good in moderation and work should harmoniously coexist with rest.

It is recommended that you communicate more often with your loved ones and relatives during these seven days, as, in principle, with all people you like.

And one of the main prohibitions during Bright Week concerns visiting cemeteries.

It is also forbidden to hold memorial services or mourn the dead during this period.

Previously, 7 signs were named indicating that your life is changing for the better.
