The art of time management is not an easy task, and not everyone can master it right away.
You can read thousands of books on the subject, try many methods, and still feel like you're missing something important.
At this point, it's worth stopping and looking at your work from the outside. This will help you notice some interesting things. For example, you may find that the clock is not helping you, but on the contrary, it's taking away your time.
Try to count how many times you look at your watch while working, especially when time is short and there are many tasks to do.
It is not so much the act of looking at the clock that takes up time, but the psychological state that arises from constantly counting the passing seconds or, conversely, the illusion of having extra time.
For example, when you are going to work or school, you give yourself a certain amount of time to get ready. This time is quite enough for all the necessary actions: packing things, taking a shower, having breakfast, and so on.
However, throughout this entire process, you are constantly looking at your watch to see if you will make it.
You may feel like you not only have enough time, but also a few extra minutes. Sometimes you do, and you may have time to do something else. But more often than not, you end up rushing to finish packing and running to the bus stop or the nearest subway station. Sounds familiar, doesn't it?
What to do in this case? Just try to ignore time sometimes.
If you need to do the job quickly and efficiently, constantly glancing at your watch and creating the illusion of extra time will not help you get everything done on time. It will be much better if you concentrate on the work and try to do everything as well as possible.
