Putin, Mishustin, Matviyenko spotted in Minsk

A number of high-ranking Russian politicians were spotted in Minsk today, December 6, 2024.

Among others, the President of the neighboring state, Vladimir Putin, was spotted in the Belarusian capital.

In particular, as the Belta agency writes , the Russian leader’s plane landed at the Minsk National Airport.

According to information available to the publication, Putin arrived in Belarus to participate in a meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State.

It is noted that other participants of the event, including Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and the head of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation Valentina Matviyenko, also arrived in Minsk earlier.

A visit by the speaker of the Russian State Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin, was expected, but, as the press reported, he was diagnosed with coronavirus.

For this reason, Volodin was unable to attend the meeting in the Belarusian capital.

By the way, the event, the media writes, will be chaired by Alexander Lukashenko.

The participants of the meeting are the presidents of the two countries, heads of government, speakers of both chambers of the parliaments of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, that is, those who are members of the Supreme State Council.
