Man hit by train in Minsk

On Tuesday evening, November 26, a tragedy occurred in the Belarusian capital: a man died under the wheels of a train.

The press service of the Investigative Committee of the Republic reported the incident on its official Telegram channel.

According to the data released by the department, the incident occurred at the Kurasovshchina bus stop.

There, "a 58-year-old man was fatally injured when he was hit by a train."

From the details it is known that on the fateful day for himself, the resident of Minsk was walking along the railway tracks.

Noticing the approaching train, the citizen tried to avoid a collision, but, alas, did not have time.

An investigative task force was working at the scene of the tragedy, the report says.

It is noted that at present all the circumstances of the incident are being established as part of the ongoing investigation.

Investigators will pay special attention to the reasons and conditions that contributed to the incident, the press service concluded.

Minsk is the capital and largest city of Belarus, the administrative center of the Minsk region and Minsk district, of which it is not a part, since it is an independent administrative-territorial unit with a special (capital) status.
