Lukashenko and Putin to meet in Minsk soon

On the last working day of the current December week, Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin will meet in Minsk.

The event is planned as part of a meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State.

However, as reported by the Kremlin press service , the leaders of the two countries will also hold a separate meeting.

The presidents will take part in the aforementioned meeting, scheduled for December 6, 2024. The venue is the capital of Belarus.

Attention is drawn to the fact that the event is timed to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the Treaty on the Creation of the Union State.

According to the Kremlin, the meeting is expected to discuss the state of affairs regarding the issue of union construction.

An important topic that will receive special attention is the prospects for further integration cooperation.

In addition, a number of decisions are expected to be made related to:

– formation of a unified electricity market;
– combating illegal import of goods;
– the introduction of uniform rules for the protection of consumer rights and comfortable tariffs for communication services.

During the meeting, the participants intend to pay special attention to the topic of strengthening the common defense space of Belarus and Russia.

Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko will also hold a separate meeting, the press service summed up.
