In Minsk, a 21-year-old guy threatened a 16-year-old schoolgirl with a stationery knife in order to get money for travel.
The young man has been detained and his actions will be given a legal assessment, the press service of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of the Minsk City Executive Committee reported on Telegram.
A Minsk resident, the mother of a 16-year-old schoolgirl, contacted the police. According to the woman, an unknown person approached her daughter near a bus stop on Kizhevatova Street, covered her mouth with his hand and, threatening her with a knife, demanded money, and then disappeared.
The suspect was identified within 24 hours. He was a 21-year-old resident of the Minsk region.
After the attack on the schoolgirl, he left Minsk. The young man was detained and taken to the capital for investigation.
A stationery knife with which he threatened the schoolgirl was found in his apartment.
The guy admitted his guilt. He explained his actions by saying that he wanted to get home quickly, but he didn't have money for the trip.
When the schoolgirl said that she only had 10 rubles, which was not enough for him, the young man let her go, asking her not to tell anyone about what had happened.
That evening the guy finally got home. A friend he met at the bus stop bought him a ticket. The actions of the detainee will be given a legal assessment.
