In Minsk, the director of one of the travel companies left over 50 clients not only without a vacation, but also without money.
And all because the lady got on a very slippery slope, starting to appropriate other people's money.
As reported in the Telegram channel of the press service of the capital's police, the 34-year-old woman was detained by criminal investigation officers of the Pervomaisky District Department of Internal Affairs of the city.
It turned out that for six months she had been finding people who wanted to go on vacation and selecting tours for them.
Having received an advance payment or even the full cost of services, the director did not send all clients on vacation.
Law enforcement officers established that in order to attract as many clients as possible, the lady offered trips at prices below market prices.
She hoped to make up the difference by increasing sales volumes and growing the firm's profits.
But customer debts grew rapidly, while some of their tours remained unpaid.
As a result, the deceived citizens, who were unable to go on vacation and were unable to get their money back, turned to the police.
At the moment, law enforcement officials know that more than 50 people suffered from the woman’s actions, and the amount of damage is at least 40,000 rubles.
A criminal case has been opened on the fact of fraud, the press service summed up.
