Created 220 accounts and made over 600 trips: Minsk resident "drove" over 30 thousand rubles on scooters - criminal case opened

A young Minsk resident took advantage of the vulnerability of electric scooters and rode them for free.

The guy was able to make several hundred trips. He also rented out other people's property.

As a result, the rental company suffered serious damage.

However, law enforcement officers “identified” the perpetrator.

After this, the 18-year-old resident of Minsk was detained.

How an 18-year-old Minsk resident caused damage to a rental company

The guy discovered a vulnerability in electric scooters and created 220 accounts in the app. He linked a bank card to each of them, but there was no money on it.

Considering the fact that the funds were written off only after the trip was completed, the young man was able to ride the scooters for free.

The total number of trips completed exceeded 600.

In addition, the offender was renting out other people’s property.

At some point, the guy believed so much that he would not bear any responsibility that he began to contact the support service and make claims.

The rental company suffered serious damage - more than 33,000 Belarusian rubles. A criminal case has been opened on the fact of the incident.
