Fraudsters have swindled 3,000 rubles from Minsk residents, the capital's police telegram channel reports.
A married couple filed a complaint with the Moscow District Department of Internal Affairs of Minsk about fraud during an online car purchase.
The applicants found an advert for the sale of a car on one of the websites and called the seller.
He asked for a deposit of 3,000 rubles, promising to remove the ad after receiving the money and draw up a sales contract as soon as possible.
The couple agreed and transferred 3,000 rubles. After that, the seller stopped communicating.
It has been established that the advert used photos from the Internet. An investigation is underway.
