A serious emergency occurred on Wednesday morning, September 25, on the territory of the Minsk Zoo.
There was a stable burning with open flames. The incident took place on Tashkentskaya Street.
The press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus reported this on its official Telegram channel.
According to the department's report, rescuers who quickly arrived at the scene extinguished the fire.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations workers have extinguished a fire in a stable at the Minsk Zoo, the press service noted.
Fortunately, the animals were not harmed. Zoo staff led the horses out of the stable.
Let us add that before this, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that a fire had been extinguished at a solid waste landfill near Zaslavl (Minsk region).
33 units of equipment and 57 people, including 12 units of equipment and 28 employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, were involved in fighting the fire.
According to rescuers, the flames covered an area of about 400 square meters. No one was hurt, the cause and circumstances of the emergency are being established.
