A 46-year-old resident of the Belarusian capital tried to sell 7 air pistols at the market.

The man did not have the appropriate permission to do this, and therefore was unable to avoid responsibility.

BELTA reports on the results of the operational and preventive special complex measure "Arsenal" with reference to the Main Directorate of Internal Affairs of the Minsk City Executive Committee.

An attempt to sell a pneumatic weapon without the appropriate permit was stopped by officers of the Oktyabrsky District Department of Internal Affairs of the city of Minsk.

At the same time, it became known that law enforcement officers confiscated a gas pistol and a smooth-bore hunting rifle for violating storage rules.

There are also reports of voluntary surrender of weapons.

This is how Minsk residents contacted the District Department of Internal Affairs after discovering weapons and ammunition for them while cleaning the apartments of their deceased relatives.

The weapons and ammunition have been seized. Police officers are conducting an investigation.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs reminds that voluntary surrender of illegally stored weapons and ammunition exempts from liability.

This can be done at any time, regardless of whether special events are taking place.
