The mayor's office of the Belarusian capital warned city residents about incoming information regarding the deterioration of water quality.
In its official telegram channel, the press service of the Minsk City Executive Committee reports on the flushing of certain sections of the water supply networks.
The mayor’s office indicates that such information was received from the Minskvodokanal enterprise.
The organization, in turn, notified that “after the restoration of the water supply, emergency teams immediately organized the flushing of individual sections of the water supply networks.”
The company also reported via the Telegram channel that quality monitoring is currently being carried out on an ongoing basis “with routine maintenance.”
The Minsk City Executive Committee assures residents of the metropolis that “the problem will be solved.”
Earlier it was reported that on the evening of September 26, in the Oktyabrsky, Zavodskoy and Leninsky districts of Minsk, a drop in pressure, absence of water and deterioration in the quality of water were observed in the water supply system.
Water was supplied to all hospitals in the specified areas.
According to experts, the incident was caused by damage to a main water pipeline with a diameter of 1,000 mm.
By 11:30 pm on Thursday, employees of the Minskvodokanal UP had localized the damage to the water main.
As reported by the company, a “gradual restoration of water supply” to residents of the three above-mentioned districts of the capital has begun.
