A new microdistrict is planned to be built in Minsk. It will be located on the site of a former landfill near the agro-town of Kolodishchi.
It is there that experts see a promising large site for the planned project.
This was reported by the Minsk-Novosti agency with reference to the head of the construction and investment committee of the capital's mayor's office, Irina Gontareva.
A promising large site is a new microdistrict on the site of a former landfill near Kolodishchi, she said.
She reported that it is planned to build about 4 million square meters of housing there.
Currently, the design documentation is at the development stage.
That is, there is still a prospect for complex development, but nevertheless, today housing is being built on reconstructed territories within the boundaries of the ring road, mainly in the private sector, the specialist explained.
And she added: work is currently underway to put Dzerzhinsky Avenue in order.
In addition, she announced the appearance of new houses on Klumova and Shcherbakova streets.
I also noticed that construction in the Loshitsa-7 microdistrict is nearing completion, and the Loshitsa-5 site is being prepared.
In Loshitsa-10, the necessary buildings were demolished, and MAPID has already arrived at the site to lay utility lines, said a representative of the mayor’s office.
According to her, today there are construction sites in every district of the capital; as they become available, they try to put them in order.
She also said that the Minsk authorities are paying special attention to the construction of rental housing and housing for large families.
Gontareva emphasized that nowadays sites are no longer sold at auctions, while commercial customers are completing projects they have started.
On the remaining prepared areas, only public utilities are being built.
This is mainly social and rental housing or for citizens registered as needing it, the head of the committee summed up.
