It recently became known that in the center of the Belarusian capital – in the area of Bangalore Square – the traffic pattern was changed on September 8.
No, this is not related to the Minsk Half Marathon that took place this Sunday.
The reason is the construction of the second section of the Zelenoluzhskaya metro line.
This was reported by the Minsk-Novosti agency with reference to the Minskmetrostroy enterprise.
Minsk residents and visitors to the capital have been warned: traffic has been changed on M. Bogdanovich Street in the area of the aforementioned square.
In connection with the implementation of the above-mentioned works, traffic was organized along a new bypass road.
The traffic was restarted according to the updated scheme on Bogdanovich – from Bangalore in the direction of Kulman – on September 8 at five o’clock in the morning.
The bypass road is reported to be 350 metres long and the width of the roadway (three lanes in each direction) is 21 metres.
The company assures that the adjustment of the traffic pattern will not affect the operation of public transport.
The Bangalore Square stops have been moved to the bypass road in both directions, Minskmetrostroy noted.
