Psychological abuse

This term refers to abuse of a partner's relationship on a mental and emotional level, in which the victim suffers psychological trauma - depression, anxiety, and other stress.

Signs

1. It can all start with manipulation and threats, comparisons and accusations, as well as complaints with an unwillingness to solve the problem.

2. Don’t forget about unjustified claims, imposing guilt (feelings), as well as high demands on the partner.

3. When trying to resolve the issue, it is not possible to establish a constructive dialogue; the problem is ignored, hushed up, or simply avoided.

4. There is control (total), disrespect for personal boundaries and a habit of resolving all issues through conflict.

5. The attention to the partner is either deliberately exaggerated or absent altogether. The partner may discuss the details of the problematic relationship with third parties, even if they are specialists, devaluing the partner's opinion.

But the main thing is the unwillingness to break off problematic relationships, even when realizing that it is bad for everyone.
