Volkswagen crashed into KAMAZ near Grodno, driver of the car died
A fatal road accident occurred on Tuesday morning, November 12, in the Grodno region.
As a result of the accident, which took place at around seven o'clock in the morning, the driver of the car died.
The press service of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee's Internal Affairs Directorate reported the incident on its official Telegram channel.
According to the data released by the department, at the specified time a Volkswagen was driving along the P99 Baranovichi – Pogranichny – Grodno highway.
Not far from the village of Zarubici, a 49-year-old driver of a German car (heading towards Grodno) crashed into a KAMAZ truck with a semi-trailer that was traveling in the same direction.
It is known that the truck was driven by a 65-year-old driver.
As a result of the collision, the driver of the Volkswagen died at the scene, the regional police department noted.
Currently, an investigation is being conducted into the incident, the cause and all circumstances of the tragedy that occurred are being determined.
