Two underage Belarusians killed in road accident in Vitebsk region, 3 more people in hospital

A fatal road accident that claimed the lives of two teenage girls occurred on Saturday evening, December 14, in the Vitebsk region.

The accident, in which three more citizens were injured, including an underage girl, was reported on its Telegram channel by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus.

According to the data released by the department, the incident took place at around seven o'clock in the evening on the 140th kilometer of the P15 Orsha-Gorki highway.

On a bend in the road, the 20-year-old driver of a Volkswagen car driving there lost control.

As a result, the car flew into the left ditch, where it crashed into a tree.

Unfortunately, two minor passengers, aged 14 and 17, died on the spot from their injuries.

The driver and two other passengers, aged 38 and 16, were taken to hospital with injuries.

State Traffic Safety Inspectorate officers and an investigative task force were working at the scene of the incident.
