A very serious traffic accident occurred in the Slutsk district of the Minsk region.
There, a school bus carrying more than ten children collided with a passenger car.
As reported by the press service of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee's Internal Affairs Directorate on its official Telegram channel, the incident took place on December 24 at 2:20 p.m.
At the specified time, an Audi A6 was driving along the P23 Minsk – Mikashevichi highway from the capital in the direction of Soligorsk.
At the 86th kilometer of the highway, a foreign car driven by a 35-year-old resident of the Soligorsk region crashed into a school bus in the right lane.
It is known that the driver of the latter was a 69-year-old resident of the Slutsk region.
The MAZ was driving from the village of Pokrashevo in the Slutsk district towards the village of Anufrovichi.
The bus was taking children home from school. There were 11 children and an accompanying adult in the bus.
Fortunately, none of the children or adults were injured in the accident.
The Department of Internal Affairs noted that the schoolchildren were taken to the Slutsk Central Regional Hospital, where after being examined by doctors they were sent home.
State Traffic Safety Inspectorate officers were working at the scene of the incident.
Currently, an investigation is underway into the incident, and all the circumstances and reasons for what happened are being determined.
