On Wednesday morning, November 13, an explosion thundered in Sevastopol.
Immediately after this – at 09:53 – the 112 line reported a fire on T. Shevchenko Street.
According to the applicant, the car exploded and caught fire, the city governor Mikhail Razvozhaev reported on his Telegram channel.
According to him, rescuers were on the scene six minutes after the call.
They found the driver inside the car. He was quickly evacuated and handed over to the ambulance team, but the medics were unable to save the victim.
According to the governor, the person in the burned car died from his injuries.
Mikhail Razvozhaev noted that a serviceman had died.
The causes of the explosion are yet to be determined by investigative bodies, but it is obvious that the possibility of sabotage cannot be ruled out, he added.
The governor called on citizens to be vigilant and report suspicious individuals and objects.
In turn, MIA "Russia Today", citing a representative of emergency services, writes that explosives were placed under the bottom of the SUV.
An investigative task force was working at the scene.
