Parents and son died near Orsha: Investigative Committee conducts investigation
The tragedy occurred last Sunday, November 17, in the Orsha district of the Vitebsk region of Belarus.
A family died in the fire: parents and a son. The press service of the Investigative Committee of the Republic reported this on its Telegram channel.
According to the department, the incident took place in the evening in the village of Pashino.
A residential building was burning there. When extinguishing the fire, rescuers found the bodies of a married couple (75 and 76 years old), as well as their 52-year-old son.
An investigative task force was working at the scene of the incident.
Relatives of the victims told the investigator that the day before the tragedy, the elderly people's son came to visit.
The family was characterized positively and did not abuse alcohol, the Investigative Committee noted.
It is noted that the preliminary cause of the fire is faulty wiring.
Investigators are currently establishing all the circumstances of the incident; an investigation is underway, the Investigative Committee summed up.
