Near Pinsk, a trailer that came uncoupled while moving crashed into a car: two Minsk residents died

A fatal road accident occurred shortly before the start of the current day in the Pinsk district of the Brest region.

There, a car trailer that had become uncoupled while moving crashed into a passenger car, killing two people. Two more were injured.

As reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus on its official Telegram channel, the incident occurred on November 6 at approximately 23:00.

At the specified time, a Mercedes minibus with a trailer was driving along the P6 Ivatsevichi-Pinsk-Stolin highway.

At the 107th km of the highway, near the agro-town of Pleshchitsy, the trailer of this car, driven by a 29-year-old resident of the Stolin district, became detached.

The trailer drove into the oncoming traffic lane, where it crashed into a Ford driven by a 28-year-old driver.

As a result of the accident, the 37-year-old and 62-year-old passengers of the car (Minsk residents) died.

The driver and the 37-year-old passenger of the American were taken to hospital.

Traffic police officers, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and an investigative task force were working at the scene of the accident.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs reminded: the driver is obliged to keep the vehicle in good technical condition and also check it before driving.
