Near Khoyniki a wolf attacked a guard

In the Khoyniki district of the Gomel region, police officers rescued a man who was attacked by a wolf.

The incident, which took place at about five o'clock in the morning on November 26, was reported on its official Telegram channel by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus.

At the specified time, the Khoyniki District Department of Internal Affairs received a message from a 62-year-old local resident who stated that her husband had been attacked by a wolf.

Details of the incident indicate that a man working as a guard on a farm went outside because of loud barking of dogs.

He wanted to inspect the protected area. But almost immediately he was attacked by a wolf.

The wild animal grabbed the man by the legs and arms. Fighting back, the guard managed to hide in a utility room.

In response to the woman’s report, district police inspector Artur Kuzmenko and ODS police driver Sergei Moroz immediately went to the scene of the emergency.

As soon as the wolf noticed the new arrivals, he immediately organized an attack on them.

Taking into account the real threat, the employees used firearms to neutralize the animal, the ministry noted.

The 55-year-old guard who was injured by the predator was handed over to doctors. The police officers were not injured.
