Mother and son killed in Novogrudok – Investigative Committee conducts investigation
On Wednesday morning, November 13, a tragedy occurred in the city of Novogrudok in the Grodno region of Belarus.
There was a fire there, in which a mother and son died. The Investigative Committee is investigating the incident.
As the department's press service reported on its official Telegram channel, investigators were working at the scene of the fire.
It is known that the bodies of an 89-year-old woman and her 61-year-old son were discovered during the extinguishing of a fire in one of the private houses.
An investigative task force worked at the scene of the incident, recorded the situation, interviewed witnesses and employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The Investigative Committee noted that several versions of the fire's origin are currently being considered, including careless handling of fire while smoking.
All circumstances of the incident will be established during the investigation conducted by the Novogrudok District Department of the Investigative Committee.
