On Tuesday, November 12, Lida and Smorgon border guards discovered violators while processing operational data in the Postavy district.

About 14 kilometers from the border with neighboring Lithuania, there were three men, all citizens of Belarus.

As reported by the press service of the State Border Committee on its official Telegram channel, these citizens had an aircraft-type UAV with them.

The aircraft, as it turned out, was made in a makeshift manner.

The men also had a means of launching a drone (a catapult) and a laptop.

All of this “good stuff” was confiscated from the trio and delivered to the Postavy border commandant’s office for further investigation.

The Civil Procedure Code noted that administrative proceedings have been initiated against the men for violating border regulations.

The agency also reminded that in Belarus, according to the decree of the President, there is a ban on the import, storage, circulation, operation and production of UAVs.

It is also not permitted to use the country's airspace without the necessary permission.

And if drones are used in the border zone or in the border strip, then this is a violation of the border regime.

In the latter case, administrative liability is provided with a fine of up to 2,000 rubles.
