An Internet "clairvoyant" swindled a resident of Grodno out of more than 11,000 rubles.
A criminal case has been opened for large-scale fraud.
This was reported by the Telegram channel of the Internal Affairs Department of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee.
This summer, a 35-year-old resident of Grodno, finding herself in a difficult situation, decided to seek help from a healer whom she found on the social network Instagram (banned in Russia, owned by the Meta company, which is recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation).
During the correspondence, the “healer” convinced the Grodno resident that she was cursed.
From August to September, a resident of the regional center transferred more than 11,000 rubles to the “clairvoyant,” but did not feel the desired improvements.
When the woman reported this to the “healer,” she stopped communicating.
The Grodno resident contacted the police. The Grodno inter-district department of the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on this fact for fraud on a large scale.
