A resident of Grodno set fire to his ex-wife's car, causing damage amounting to almost 4,000 rubles.
This was reported by the press service of the State Committee for Forensic Examinations for the Grodno Region.
A woman contacted the police of the Oktyabrsky district of Grodno with a request to bring her ex-husband to criminal responsibility for damaging her car.
It was established that the Grodno resident deliberately set fire to a microfiber cloth and placed it in the interior of his ex-wife’s car.
An investigation is currently underway into this incident. An automotive expert examination has been ordered.
She showed that the damage caused to the 1996 Mitsubishi Lancer amounted to 3,975.14 rubles.
The State Forensic Expertise Committee noted that an automotive forensic examination allows one to determine the nature of damage to a vehicle and how to eliminate it, the cost of repairs, and the cost of the vehicle and its spare parts.
Automotive expert examinations are also carried out in a pre-trial manner for individuals and legal entities.
