A 64-year-old pensioner became a victim of telephone scammers. The criminals did not want to leave the woman alone and worked on several criminal schemes on her.

In a short period of time, the woman was notified twice by phone that she had become a victim of fraudsters.

The Investigative Committee of the Gomel Region reports on how fraudsters completely destroyed the life of a pensioner from Svetlogorsk.

It all started with a call to the home phone. An unknown man introduced himself as a law enforcement officer and told about suspicious loans issued in the name of a citizen.

At the same time, the mobile phone rang, and a representative of the internal affairs agencies began to “process” the woman.

She stated that the scammers had taken a firm grip on the citizen’s property and that she should stop communicating on the landline phone.

Having believed the girl who called, the woman soon found that they began calling her every day, providing her with various instructions.

As a result of psychological pressure, the woman handed over gold jewelry to a pawnshop and took out loans totaling approximately 20 thousand rubles, which she transferred to other people's accounts.

But even this was not enough for the criminals. They forced the woman to sell the apartment in just a couple of days.

She transferred the 15 thousand dollars she received to a third party through a taxi courier.

At the same time, the woman was convinced to remain silent, since the “operation” was carried out in conditions of the strictest secrecy.

After the pensioner ran out of money, she tried to borrow from relatives without giving any reasons.

This alarmed the woman's daughters, and they turned to the police for help.

A criminal case has been opened. The persons involved in the crime are being identified.
