Since the offender posed a real threat to other road users, the traffic police officers used their service weapons.
The offender turned out to be a 22-year-old resident of Brest region, who had been repeatedly held accountable for unlicensed and drunk driving.
A medical examination showed 0.7 ppm of alcohol. A number of administrative protocols were drawn up against the young man.
The Investigative Committee will give a legal assessment of the fact of repeated drunk driving within a year.
