One fine day, a Belarusian resident of Gomel discovered an abandoned bank card.
Vaguely suspecting that she might have been lost, the man nevertheless did not contact the police.
Instead, the citizen decided to indulge himself in everything he wanted, going shopping at the stores.
But, as they say, no matter how long the rope twists...
What ultimately happened to the man was reported by the press service of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee Department of Internal Affairs on its Telegram channel.
It is reported that a 25-year-old Gomel resident contacted law enforcement officers and reported the loss of his bank card.
The police found out that the guy accidentally dropped his plastic card near one of the city’s establishments.
A 55-year-old unemployed citizen noticed it and, without much hesitation, pocketed it.
The man began to actively shop: he bought clothes, household items, alcohol and food.
In total, I spent 280 rubles. And earned a criminal case (theft of property by modifying computer information).
The regional police department noted that the citizen faces up to 3 years in prison for his actions.
