A resident of Baranovichi escaped from a killer in the trunk
A resident of Baranovichi tried to kill a creditor, but he pretended to be dead and survived.
The suspect has been detained and a criminal case has been opened against him.

What happened
In early September, a 36-year-old resident of Baranovichi borrowed 1.5 million Russian rubles from a 49-year-old acquaintance. Instead of repaying the debt, the debtor decided to get rid of the creditor.
On the night of September 13, the man asked a friend to help him tow his car, promising to repay the debt at the same time.
The meeting took place on the side of the road near Baranovichi. The debtor invited the creditor to get into the car, where there was allegedly a bag with money.
When the creditor got into the car, the acquaintance stabbed him in the neck. The victim fought the attacker, but was wounded again, became exhausted, fell to the ground and pretended to be dead.
The attacker loaded the victim into the trunk and drove towards the city. The victim managed to open the trunk lid and get out of the car while it was moving.
Bleeding, he made it to the nearest gas station. Its employees called an ambulance and the police.
The suspect discovered the absence of a body in the trunk only upon arriving home. He was detained. The victim is in hospital, there is no threat to life.
As a result of the inspection of the suspect's garage and car, a knife, a shovel and an oilcloth were found.
A criminal case has been opened against him under Part 1 of Article 14 and Part 2 of Article 139 (attempted murder for the purpose of concealing another crime) and Part 4 of Article 209 of the Criminal Code (fraud on an especially large scale). The defendant is cooperating with the investigation.
It was established that he had repeatedly borrowed money from acquaintances without intending to repay it.
The investigation has reason to believe that there may be more facts of illegal activity by the defendant. Those who suffered from his actions are asked to call 8-0162-27-37-00.
