A resident of Molodechno organized a car business. Everything would be fine, but he sold other people's cars. As a result, he got a criminal case.
A 33-year-old city resident took a slippery slope when he came up with a scheme to make money through fraud.
The press service of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee's Internal Affairs Directorate reported this on its official Telegram channel.
According to the data released by the department, the man “registered” on websites specializing in car sales.
There, the "businessman" published ads for selling other people's cars at reduced prices. But in reality, their real owners sold them at a higher price.
The citizen downloaded a photo of a vehicle already posted on the website, but set the price significantly lower than that of the real seller.
During a dialogue with potential buyers, he asked them for a deposit and, having received the money, stopped communicating.
He stopped operating only when the police started receiving reports.
The damage from the actions of the "entrepreneur" exceeded 2,000 rubles. In total, he deceived more than ten people.
Criminal cases have been opened on the fact of fraud, the regional police department summed up.
