The desire to take beautiful photos on a boat resulted in serious injuries for a resident of the Kirovsky district.
A criminal case has been opened against the owner of the boat.
This was reported by the press service of the Investigative Committee for the Mogilev Region.
On August 18, a 27-year-old resident of the district was taken to the Kirov District Hospital with open leg fractures, lacerations to the body and traumatic shock.
The victim said that she fell overboard from a motorboat on the Chigirin Reservoir.
The investigative task force examined the scene of the incident and recorded the trace picture. They questioned witnesses and the boat driver and ordered the necessary examinations.
It was established that the victim decided to take a photo and climbed onto the "bow" of the boat. At some point, the boat rocked, the girl fell into the water and ended up under the motor blades.
The owner of the boat, a 41-year-old resident of Kirovsk, has a license to operate a small motor vessel. However, the boat is not registered with the State Inspectorate.
During the inspection of the boat, it was discovered that the maximum design power of the engine was exceeded. This resulted in unpredictable behavior of the vessel and affected the safety of navigation.
The Kirov District Department of the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case against the boat owner under Part 2 of Article 316 of the Criminal Code (violation of the rules for the operation of small vessels, which through negligence resulted in causing serious bodily harm).
