In Mogilev, an 11-year-old boy “mined” his school on a dare.
The press service of the Internal Affairs Department of the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee reported this on Telegram.
Today, an anonymous call was received on the 102 line about a bomb threat to one of the Mogilev schools.
The caller's voice was clearly a child's. The police found out that the caller was an 11-year-old student from the same school.
He lost a bet to a friend and that’s why he made such an ill-considered call, the police department said.
The police remind: a false report of danger entails criminal liability (starts at age 14). The maximum penalty is 7 years of imprisonment.
The perpetrator is also required to pay the costs of responding to the false report. If the crime is committed by a child under 14 years of age, the costs are reimbursed by the parents.
The police added that they have sufficient operational and technical capabilities to identify such violators.
