A 19-year-old resident of the Stolin district became a defendant in a criminal case.
The thing is, the guy jokingly pointed an air pistol at a 65-year-old woman.
The guy faces up to 3 years in prison for hooliganism.
The relevant information was published on the website of the Brest Regional Executive Committee Department of Internal Affairs.
One day, a local resident contacted law enforcement agencies with a report that a gun was pointed at her.
The law enforcement officers who arrived at the scene of the incident learned the following from the 65-year-old woman: returning from visiting, she saw an unknown young man in the entryway.
The guy said "hands up" and pointed a gun at the woman.
The pensioner got scared and after returning home she called the police.
Law enforcement officers found out who was the author of the "joke". It turned out that it was the woman's 19-year-old fellow villager.
The guy told law enforcement officers that he was hiding from the rain in the entrance of one of the buildings.
The young man had an air pistol with him, given to him by one of his friends.
When the guy saw the woman, he decided to “joke”: out of hooligan motives, he pointed an air gun at the local resident.
By the way, at that moment the 19-year-old resident of the Stolin district was intoxicated.
Then the young man went home, throwing away the pistol along the way.
A criminal case has been opened against the guy under Article 339 of the Criminal Code of our country. The "joker" faces up to 3 years of imprisonment.
