FSB Detains Spy Collecting Data on Russian Armed Forces for SBU

The Russian Federal Security Service has detained a Ukrainian citizen who was passing information about the Russian Armed Forces to the Ukrainian Security Service.

A criminal case has been opened against the detainee.

It was established that a resident of the Kherson region, born in 2001, proactively established contact with the SBU.

On the instructions of her curator, the girl collected and sent via the Telegram messenger data on the location of the Russian Armed Forces personnel accommodation points in the Kherson region.

The Investigative Department of the FSB Directorate for Crimea and Sevastopol opened a criminal case against the detainee under Article 276 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (espionage).

The maximum penalty under this article is 20 years' imprisonment. The suspect has been remanded in custody.
