A boat with travelers missing 66 days ago was found in the Sea of Okhotsk: only one person survived

At the beginning of August this year, a boat with three travelers disappeared in Khabarovsk Krai.

On Monday, October 14, this vessel was discovered in the Sea of Okhotsk.

Despite the enormous period of time spent in the open sea (66 days), one of the travelers survived.

At the moment, doctors are providing assistance to the man.

According to preliminary data, on August 9, 2024, three people set off on a journey on a catamaran-type boat "Baikal 470".

There were two men and a 15-year-old teenager on the ship.

After some time, communication with the travelers was lost.

There was no information about the boat's location for a long time.

Rescuers were searching for the missing vessel. They used aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles.

The boat was discovered on October 14 in the Sea of Okhotsk near the village of Ust-Khairuzovo in the Kamchatka Territory.

It turned out that two travelers did not survive, including a teenager.

However, one man, who had spent more than two months in the open sea, was still rescued.

Two people died, one survived, he is receiving medical assistance, MIA " Russia Today " quotes a message from the press service of the Far Eastern Transport Prosecutor's Office.
