The Kopyl District Prosecutor's Office has forwarded to court a criminal case against a 54-year-old local resident who attacked the director of an agricultural enterprise during the Dozhinki festival.
The measure of restraint previously applied to the accused in the form of detention was left unchanged.
This was reported by the press service of the Minsk Region Prosecutor's Office.
The incident occurred on August 23 in the Agrokhutor recreation park in the village of Velikaya Raevka.
During the Dozhinki festival, a drunk 54-year-old man took a glass bottle from a trash can, broke it and, holding the sharp-edged neck in his hand, went up onto the stage where the director of an agricultural enterprise was presenting awards to workers.
On stage, a man tried to hit the company's director in the chest with a bottle, but he managed to defend himself with his hand.
Witnesses grabbed the attacker and held him until the police arrived. The victim received a finger wound.
Having studied the case materials, the prosecutor's office agreed with the classification of the crime under Part 3 of Article 339 of the Criminal Code and referred the case to court.
When the case was sent to court, the previously applied preventive measure in the form of detention was left unchanged by the prosecutor.
