In Nepal, rescuers have found the bodies of five Russian climbers. Their disappearance was reported two days ago.

Russian climbers who set out for the summit of Dhaulagiri in Nepal have been found dead, the Himalayan Times reports.

Rescuers discovered the bodies of the victims at an altitude of 7,100 meters during a search operation by helicopter.

The climbers are believed to have fallen from a height of 7,600 meters, which resulted in their death.

The group included climbers Alexander Dusheiko, Oleg Kruglov, Vladimir Chistikov, Mikhail Nosenko and Dmitry Shpilevoy.

The expedition organizers say that contact with the group was lost on October 6.

The climbers set out towards the summit from the high camp at around six in the morning.

The summit of Dhaulagiri is considered the seventh peak on the planet and is 8167 meters high.

It is located in the Himalayas in central Nepal.

The ascent route is considered one of the most difficult.
