On Zaslavskoe Highway a truck encountered an elk
A serious traffic accident involving a moose occurred on Wednesday, October 2, on Zaslavskoe Highway.
The press service of the Minsk State Traffic Inspectorate reported the incident on its official Telegram channel.
According to the data released by the department, a GAZ truck was driving along the said road early in the morning.
At around 06:50 a.m., a moose suddenly ran out onto the road; the 30-year-old driver was unable to avoid a collision.
As a result, the truck hit the elk. Fortunately, no one was hurt, but judging by the photos published by the traffic police, the forest dweller died.
As for the car, the report notes that it received mechanical damage.
The traffic police department of the Pervomaisky District Department of Internal Affairs of Minsk worked at the scene of the accident, the State Traffic Inspectorate reported.
