Audi skids off road near Lyakhovichi: two people killed
A fatal traffic accident occurred in the Lyakhovichi district (Brest region) on Monday morning, September 16.
As a result of the accident, two people died on the spot, and another was hospitalized with serious injuries.
The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus reported the incident on its official Telegram channel.
According to the data released by the department, the accident took place at approximately 11 a.m. on the 27th kilometer of the N794 Lyakhovichi-Krivoshin-Svyatitsa highway.
At that time, an Audi car driven by a 48-year-old driver was driving in that location.
At some point during the journey, he lost control of the car, causing it to drive into the oncoming lane and then off the road.
In the ditch, the foreign car overturned and crashed into a roadside tree.
Unfortunately, the driver and a male passenger died in the accident. Another citizen in the car was hospitalized.
The State Traffic Safety Inspectorate, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and the investigative task force were working at the scene of the incident, the ministry noted.
