On the night of September 10-11, Belarusian border guards, with the involvement of riot police, detained two compatriots on the border with Poland.

The offenders arrived in that area in two cars – they wanted to organize illegal activity in the border settlement.

As reported by the press service of the State Border Committee on its official Telegram channel, the violators were residents of the Brest region.

They were found with a homemade aircraft-type UAV with a parachute attached to it.

The duo also had ropes for launching the drone, four batteries, a thermal imager, and supplies.

An administrative process has been initiated against the defendants for violating border regulations.

Each of them faces a fine of up to 20 basic units (up to 800 rubles).

The State Prosecutor's Office reminded that in Belarus there is a ban on the import, storage, circulation, operation, and manufacture of UAVs, as well as on the use of the country's airspace, unless there is a special permit.
