On Friday, September 6, a traffic accident occurred near Minsk.

A car hit a minor pedestrian.

As a result of the incident, the child was injured.

The relevant information was published on the Telegram channel of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee Department of Internal Affairs.

The incident occurred yesterday at approximately 2 pm in the village of Priluki.

The 32-year-old citizen was driving a Mercedes.

While driving along Bolnichnaya Street, a motorist hit a 10-year-old pedestrian.

This happened at the moment when the child was running across the roadway.

The incident resulted in the young pedestrian receiving injuries.

Appeal of law enforcement officers

Following a situation that recently occurred in the Minsk region, representatives of the Internal Affairs Department of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee appealed to Belarusian parents.

Law enforcement officials reminded that adults must supervise their children and also systematically review traffic rules with them.

Parents should explain the following to their child: it is forbidden to talk on a smartphone or listen to music on headphones while near or on the roadway.

Law enforcement officials also reminded parents that there is liability for improper performance of child-rearing responsibilities.
