Drunk minibus driver detained in Mogilev

In Mogilev, State Traffic Inspectorate officers detained a minibus driver who was driving drunk.

The press service of the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee's Internal Affairs Directorate reported the incident on its official Telegram channel.

According to information provided by the department, the incident took place on Thursday, August 5.

That morning, at approximately 08:40, on Pervomayskaya Street, during a raid, traffic police inspectors detained the driver of a minibus (Volkswagen).

It was established that the citizen was transporting passengers while under the influence of alcohol.

For drunk driving, the driver will be held administratively liable - he faces the loss of his driving license for 3 years, as well as a fine of 100 basic units (4,000 rubles).

In connection with the incident, the State Traffic Inspectorate once again called on Belarusians not to drive while intoxicated.

Each driver is responsible for passengers. This is especially true for minibuses, which transport a large number of people every day, the statement says.
