Cars evacuated. Fire breaks out at BelGee plant in Belarus
On Thursday, September 5, 2024, a fire broke out at the BelGee plant in Belarus.
The press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic reported the incident on its official Telegram channel.
According to the data released by the department, the fire was raging on the territory of the enterprise located in the village of Goreliza in the Borisov district of the Minsk region.
The plant workers “organized the evacuation of material assets (cars).”
Rescuers who arrived at the scene of the incident extinguished the fire. Fortunately, no one was hurt.
However, the fire damaged the racks, the parts stored on them that were intended for disposal (defective), and part of the hangar’s canvas wall.
Currently, experts are investigating the cause and all the circumstances of the fire that occurred at the plant.
Earlier, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that as a result of the crash of the downed drone, a warehouse caught fire in Gomel.
Fortunately, there were no casualties in this case either. The fire damaged 5 square meters of the roof. The fire has been extinguished.
Previously, the Belarusian Ministry of Defense reported that on the night of September 5, drones violated the state border in the country's airspace.
According to the department, a decision was made to destroy them – all targets were hit.
